Arizona Inmate Search

Arizona is the 6th largest state in the United States and is home to a relatively small number of prisons though they are very large in size. This makes it a little less troublesome to locate an inmate in Arizona.

Arizona_statesealArizona brings about images of mesas, plateaus, canyons and a hot, dry environment. Really, it’s a well developed state that has become very lush in the city areas and the Northern section of the state is full of pine forests.

Arizona became an official state in 1912 and since then the population has exploded. The climate, while hot at times, is very desirable for people who don’t like to deal with the snow or other harsh conditions.

Counties and Cities

One of the most populated counties in the US is Maricopa County which is located Arizona. Naturally, such a large area is bound to also house more inmates than normal. Some additonal counties in Arizona are: Apache, Cochise, Coconino, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Mohave, Navajo, Pima and Pinal.

Counties experiencing significant growth are are actually the ones listed above. Arizona is a booming state that is growing at an extremely rapid rate.

The most populated cities in Arizona are: Phoenix, Tuscon, Mesa, Glendale, Chandler, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Tempe, Peoria, and Yuma.

Most state and Federal facilities have lots of options such as Moneygram, Western Union, Jpay or direct mail. Arizona follows these guidelines as well. The type of facility will change how you are able to get money to your incarcerated loved ones. If you’re unsure how to get them money or even exactly where they currently are, an Arizona inmate search will do wonders and make this so much easier on you. This can be extra important if you’re at your stress limit already.

For Federal Prison Inmates:

For State Prison Inmates:
Contact the State Prison you want to send the money to. They may use postal mail only, Western Union only, or other systems.

For City/County Jail Inmates
Contact the jails in Arizona directly or do an Arizona inmate search.

To send regular stamped mail to any Arizona inmates you will need to put their inmate number at the top of the institutions address. You should call any institutions you plan to write or visit their official website first so you know the exact protocol. It may vary depending on facility and if the inmate has been transferred, it may have changed. A quick Arizona inmate search can usually turn up an inmate’s address, county, type of facility, and much more.

Today, most facilities offer e-mail correspondance through Trust Fund Limited Inmate Computer System (TRULINCS), and CORRLINKS. TRULINCS and CORRLINKS are both set up through the inmate first. Once you get their invitation through e-mail, you can be added to their contacts list. This may need you to do an Arizona inmate search if you don’t know exactly where they are.

An Arizona inmate search may actually offer you some peace of mind. This is one of the few states that really works hard to rehabilitate and teach inmates while they’re in the system. You may have heard of the rather famous Tent Cities where inmates learn valuable agricultural skills and have some degree of freedom those in other states can’t have.
